Development

Fracture mechanical values - Upgrading with special properties
The IMA Dresden is currently working on deeper information on fracture mechanics for the material database WIAM ^® METALLINFO. Contents are e.g. fracture thoughness , J-integral and crack propagation depending on loading conditions and temperature. Following material groups will be included: structure steels, quenched and tempered steels, cast iron, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys and titanium alloys.

Tool for material recoding
For the informations system WIAM^® Plattform the IMA Dresden develops an Add-on in particulary for the material recoding. This means you are able to carry out comparisons of different materials from different data sources.

TTT Diagrams − New module to the topic heat treatment
The new module WIAM^® ZTU extends the content of the WIAM^® METALLINFO. About 200 CCT diagrams and transformation diagrams were integrated for heat treatment, forming and welding. In focus of 2012: isothermic TTT diagrams.

Strain S-N curves − A remarkable extension of the module WIAM^® ZYK
More than 500 new cyclic datasets will be soon available for the WIAM^® ZYK. . It contains strain Wöhler curves and the parameters for the description of the cyclic stress-strain curve, partly for temperatures between room temperature and 800°C.

Plastics Database CAMPUS^®
The IMA Dresden offers since june 2010 the plastic data base CAMPUS^® in the system WIAM^®.
